Camden Man Charged with November Homicide

Camden City, N.J.- A Camden City man has been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting of a man in November 2023 that later resulted in his death, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
On February 9, 2024, Lisandro Gomez, 26, of Camden City was charged with first-degree Murder in the death of Victor Lebron, 26, of Sicklerville, NJ. Gomez was also charged with second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and second-degree Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons. Gomez was arrested later that day in Camden City by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division.
Gomez was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.
On November 9, 2023, at approximately 12:28 p.m., Camden County Police officers responded to a shooting on the 800 block of North 8th Street in Camden City. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man, who was later identified as Victor Lebron was transported to Cooper University Hospital by officers. Lebron remained at the hospital in critical condition until November 16, 2023, when he succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced deceased at 4:35 p.m.
All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
