Philadelphia, PA - Philadelphia's board game cafe is rolling into the winter months with a new event line-up for those cold winter days. Thirsty Dice, located at 1642 Fairmount Avenue, invites Philadelphia to keep warm and cozy during January and February with a new event line-up perfect for those that love games, fun, food, drink and adventure. Come out this Sunday, January 27th for the Drag Bingo Brunch with Miss Brittany Lynn and the Philly Drag Mafia starting at 11:30am with drag bingo, a brunch buffet and new champagne flights.
Next up, come out for a new twist in Super Bowl Sunday. While our favorite birds might not be in flight, Thirsty Dice is flying high with Superb Owl Brunch, a take on the Superb Owl internet meme. Trade in the BIG game for a day of big games, big food and big fun from 11:00am to 4:30pm with everything from food and drink specials, decorations, tongue in cheek quizzo and more. For Valentine's Day at Thirsty Dice bring your friends and squad for Galentine's and for those not going the romantic route, but for those wanting a fun casual date night, they have you covered. Look for featured games for date nights and groups, special food features including new Cherry Bourbon Wings and a Love Potion No. 9 boozy shake.
For the cold winter nights when you want to be inside with your besties, Thirsty Dice presents new brunch offerings, plus game nights with Wednesday night Quizzo starting at 6:30pm (sign-up time), Casual Commander for Magic the Gathering Plays (6:30pm) and D&D 101 coming soon - with D&D intro sessions coming soon. Super Bowl Sunday - Superb Owl Brunch

The event is themed around the internet meme "Superb Owl," serving as a playful alternative to the “Big Game” for those who are less interested in sports and more into board games, brunch, and a bit of humor. (And yes, the spelling and typo is what launched the trend.) The event also includes a tacit reference to a bird deserving Philadelphia's attention, as a nod to the disappointing season end (but we still love our Birds, fly Eagles fly). This all-day brunch event will feature board games, themed foods, and specialty cocktails, all centered around the whimsical "Superb Owl" theme. Decorations will include owl-themed items and subtle references to football, blending both worlds in a light-hearted manner.
Activities:
A tongue in cheek mini Quizzo (3 rounds) which features famous owls in history and pop culture as well reference to the success (and disappointment) of our Philadelphia Eagles. The prize would be a copy of Thirsty Dice game favorite Wingspan and a guided Philadelphia bird watching experience.

Bird's Nest Eggs Benedict: Poached eggs in crispy potato nests with hollandaise sauce.
Wing-It Chicken & Waffles: Boneless wings paired with a gluten free waffle, jalapeño butter and drizzled with smoked maple syrup.
Feathered Avocado Toast: Mashed avocado with pickled onions, chili crisp on artisanal sourdough bread, garnished with microgreens. Poached egg optional
