Jefferson Health to Provide Support Services for Delsea Regional Students and their Families

Representatives of Jefferson Health in New Jersey and the Delsea Regional School District in Franklinville, NJ, have formalized an agreement for Jefferson to offer specialized support services for students coping with lasting impacts of the pandemic. Jefferson Health will provide four social workers in the K-12 district and to neighboring parochial school, Our Lady of Mercy Academy, to address student needs. Additionally, Jefferson will provide a Community Wellness Manager to support the needs of families throughout the district. This trained professional social worker will provide resources to state and federal social programs addressing everything from food insecurity to lack of insurance, as well as provide resources to improve mental and physical health. This is an innovative care model that demonstrates how health systems and school districts can work together to address complex issues that impact our communities.

Shown at the formal agreement announcement event during Delsea's recent Board of Education meeting are Delsea Regional school officials and Jefferson Health leadership.
