Suffolk University/Boston Globe/NBC-10 Tracking Poll:
BOSTON—Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s Sunday announcement suspending his presidential bid left former President Donald Trump with a 19-point lead (57%) ahead of former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley (38%) one day before New Hampshire’s Republican primary, according to a new Suffolk University/Boston Globe/NBC-10 tracking poll of likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters.
The tracking poll, which consists of a two-day rolling average, is the sixth of seven daily tracking surveys that will be released each morning ahead of the New Hampshire primary.
To adjust for DeSantis suspending his campaign, the DeSantis voters from Saturday’s sample who named DeSantis as their first-choice candidate were redistributed to the voters’ second choice: Trump or Haley.
For the 250 voters contacted by phone on Sunday, they were asked to choose between Trump and Haley only, producing a two-day rolling average between those two candidates, who were both up 2% from Sunday’s survey.
