GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (January 25, 2024) (CNBNews photos)--Since December 4, 2023, a dumpster filled to the brim with trash has been left on Barnard Avenue. Despite residents' efforts to contact the police department, the issue remains unresolved.
One resident said, "This is unacceptable! The owner of the building and the city department heads responsible for enforcing housing laws must take immediate action to remove the dumpster and clean up the area. It is their duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. We demand that they fulfill this responsibility without further delay."

JEER: In early December, a construction crew irresponsibly left a trash bin on wheels in front of 4 Barnard Ave. This careless act has caused severe traffic issues and hazardous situations for passersby. Despite repeated complaints to the police by the concerned neighbors, the overloaded bin remains there, spilling over with garbage and debris, making Barnard Avenue look like a slum area. It is unacceptable that the owner of the building and the department heads responsible for enforcing laws have ignored the issue. Such neglect has left the neighbors to deal with the situation on their own. It's high time that action is taken to remove the trash bin and restore the cleanliness and safety of the street.

CHEER: To those who use their signals in the Brooklawn circles. When you're sitting by Verchio's waiting to move, it's so nice to know where someone is going instead of having to wait. It was also taught in Driver's Education to use your signals in a circle. A Jeer to those who don't use them!

JEER: Is there a law in Gloucester City that mandates property owners shovel their sidewalks when it snows? If there isn’t one, there should be. A ride through our City revealed a good number of sidewalks that were still covered with snow two days after the storm.

CHEER: I have tremendous respect and appreciation for our Police Dept. We are blessed to have so many intelligent, devoted, and compassionate individuals serving our city. May God bless and protect all of you each and every day! ~ A lifelong resident

CHEER: Congratulations to Gloucester High School senior Kaleb Wright, who won his 100th wrestling match this week. Kaleb, who is also the team Captain of wrestling, is also the team captain of the powerful football team.
