CG Accepting additional testimony for the Grande Costa D’Avorio Hearing

 

NEW YORK — The Coast Guard and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have scheduled follow-up witness testimony on Wednesday and Friday in support of the ongoing investigation into the fire that occurred on July 5, 2023, aboard the Italian-flagged cargo vessel, Grande Costa D’Avorio, while docked at the Port of Newark, New Jersey.

The videos of testimony are scheduled to be posted to the Livestream site at https://livestream.com/uscginvestigations on Wednesday and Friday.

Capt. David Rogers of the Newark Fire Department will give testimony on Wednesday, and Marian Ciumala, the Grande Costa D’Avorio’s Third Mate, will give testimony on Friday.

Additional testimony from other witnesses is still being scheduled. Once scheduled, a follow-up news release and tweet will share the dates of additional testimony.
