First it was the car in the river. We were told that all the fire fighters/EMS were in Westville training. Then someone posted a video of the police officers going into the river to save the driver but there was, in the right side of the screen, was a man wearing a shirt with EMT written on the back. Then there was a teen who fell into the Gloucester City side of the creek separating Gloucester City from Brooklawn. Camden City, N.J. – A jury has convicted a Camden City man for the 2021 homicide of a 21-year-old man, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Antony Shields, 22, was found guilty on January 30, 2024, of first-degree Felony Murder, first-degree Aggravated Manslaughter, and second-degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in connection to the death of Alex Fernandez.
