Ruth A. Schultz (nee Borden), 92 of West Deptford, formerly of Gloucester City

Ruth A. Schultz (nee Borden), 92 of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with family on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Legacy

Ruth was born in Philadelphia, PA on March 11, 1931. She met the love of her life and moved to Gloucester City, NJ. Then moved to Thorofare and raised her loving family. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great

grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved to be around her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a strong faith and was very devoted to her church in Thorofare St. Paul’s United Methodist. She was on the Mission Committee, Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. Ruth served on the Board of the Camden Neighborhood Center and was past President of the Thorofare Fire Company Auxiliary. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and worked at the food bank of West Deptford. She loved to travel with her husband and friends.

Family

She is the beloved wife of 72 years to the late Robert E. "Bob" Schultz, Sr.; sons, Robert Schultz, Jr. (Machelle) and the late John Schutlz, Sr. (Elizabeth); daughters Linda Bryan (Joseph, Sr.) Ellen Mourning and Paula Carter (John, Jr.); 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, January 6th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home-(Woodbury Location) 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00AM. Graveside Services will be held at Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
