CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS IN MANAYUNK AS MANAYUNK CELEBRATES HANUKKAH WITH MENORAH LIGHTING, 8 CRAZY NIGHTS GIVEAWAY AND HANUKKAH GOODIES ON THE JOLLY TROLLY
Philadelphia, PA - There are many ways to celebrate Hanukkah in Manayunk, and the fun kicks off with the 8 Crazy Nights Giveaway Contest. Manayunk once again hosts their daily Instagram contest, running December 7 through December 15, where followers can win a different gift each night from local businesses. Prizes this year include spa memberships, stylish merch, dining & retails gift cards, and more!
In addition to the contest, giveaways will be available on the Jolly Trolley December 7, 8, 9, & 14. Riders can hop on the FREE trolley those nights and receive Hanukkah goodie bags full of chocolate gelt, driedles, candy, and stickers. The trolley is also the perfect way to take in the Manayunk Gets Lit light displays and decorations.
On the last night of the holiday, December 14, visitors can join Rabbi Yitzchok Gurevitz and the Manayunk community at 7 p.m. for a candle lighting in Canal View Park (4418 Main Street). The community is invited to celebrate Hanukkah and light the menorah amidst a backdrop of more than 150,000 Main Street lights. Chabad-Lubavitch of Northwest Philadelphia is the local branch of the Worldwide Chabad Movement. They serve the entire Northwest Philadelphia, including Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Roxborough, Manayunk, and East Falls. Manayunk is thrilled once again to partner with Rabbi Gurevitz.
Rabbi Gurevitz states “ Celebrating in the Manayunk community is a wonderful way to end the eight days of celebrating. The Menorah will shine bright in Canal View Park. We invite everyone in the community to join us.”
