GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ (December 26, 2023)(Clearysnotebook)-On Christmas Eve, a local car dealership and a non-profit organization, Wigs and Wishes, teamed up to surprise the Eells family in Gloucester City, NJ. According to CBSNews, Santa led a procession of firetrucks to the family's neighborhood, where they gifted them with a wheelchair-accessible van to help transport their daughter, AnnaMae Eells. The founder of Wigs and Wishes, Martino Cartier, presented the van to the family, saying, "It's yours, AnnaMae. Merry Christmas!" The family was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy at this unexpected and generous gift.
AnnaMae was born with cerebral palsy seven years ago. Her mother, Mary Ann, shared that it mainly affects her legs, making it difficult for her to walk. AnnaMae has an upcoming surgery on Friday, and her parents said having a new van will be helpful when they go to and from the hospital. Ed Eells, AnnaMae's father, said carrying her is becoming more and more difficult, and they are hurting themselves in the process. According to her parents, despite her condition, AnnaMae is full of energy and doesn't let it stop her from doing what she loves, like dressing up as Elvis and listening to his music.
Ed, Mary Ann, and AnnaMae would like to thank everyone who was involved. They would especially like to give a Big shout-out to Wigs and Wishes, Apollo Auto, and Total Experience Foundation.
