Bellmawr - On November 28, 2023. Eleanor K. McMichael (nee Brennan), Age 90. Happily reunited with her beloved husband of 65 years, the late Donald E. McMichael, Sr. Also reunited with her sons who predeceased her, Stephen and Brian. Eleanor is survived by her loving children, Patricia, Donald Jr. (Marguerite), Theresa “Terri” and Kevin. Caring Grandmom of Melissa Randazzo (Greg) and Jennifer Smith (Derek). Devoted Mom Mom of Sean, Colin, Tyler, Ciara Colofranson (Anthony), Ryan, Carly (David Minney), Brianna, Brett and Ian. Special Great Mom Mom of Chase and Cali Rose, and special Great Grandmom of Vincent and Victoria. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Susan McMichael, Stacey McMichael and Linda LaFalce. Eleanor was also predeceased by her parents, William and Anna Brennan, and her brother, Owen Brennan.

Eleanor (Elly) attended both Gloucester Catholic High School and Camden Catholic High School. It was at Gloucester Catholic where she met the love of her life, Don, and they quickly became high school sweethearts. They were lovingly together for 70 years (married for 65 years) until Don’s passing in 2019. They were devoted Catholics and were long-time members of Annunciation Church in Bellmawr. However, their church of choice was always St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Gloucester, where they each made all of their sacraments, including their lovely wedding in 1953. They went on to create a beautiful family together and had six children.

There was nothing more important to Elly than her husband and her children. She was a stay-at-home mom for most of her life, and enjoyed watching her children learn, play and grow. After her children were grown, she worked for a short time at Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was happiest when gathering for birthday celebrations, holidays and family events. She also enjoyed sharing in the many accomplishments of her grandchildren and attended their various activities. Elly and Don were inseparable, and you could always find them walking hand-in-hand. The reunion in heaven had to be glorious, and they are now walking ever so happily with hands joined again.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed talking to everyone she encountered, dancing, speaking about the weather, cutting coupons, going to the food store, getting good deals and sales on everything, and sharing her bargains with family and those less fortunate. She enjoyed traveling, especially winter trips to Hilton Head, SC, hanging laundry on the clothesline, camping and skiing. She also had a variety of special, close friends and enjoyed dining, gathering and traveling with them, including memorable weekend trips to Fortesque. Elly will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her!

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 9:30 am to 10:45 am at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
