Camden City, N.J.- Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man on Sunday afternoon in Camden City, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 3:29 p.m., Camden County Police responded to 1532 South 7^th Street for the report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital, and he was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:45 p.m. The victim was identified as Jeremy Barron, 52, of Westville, N.J.

This investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
