Investigation Into Murder of 29-Year-Old Camden City Resident Continues

Camden City, N.J.- Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred on November 16th in Camden City. The male victim of the shooting later succumbed to his injuries, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On November 16, 2023, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Camden County Police officers responded to the 200 block of North 33rd Street for a ShotSpotter notification and 911 calls for a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to Cooper University Hospital and identified as 29-year-old Edward Ross of Camden City. He remained in critical condition until November 21, 2023, when he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at approximately 6:28 p.m.

This investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
