  • Turn right onto River Drive
  • At the stop sign, cross over Route 130 northbound and turn left onto Route 130 southbound

The project is being done in 10 stages. Stage 1 work is complete. Work in the next two stages, Stage 2A and 2B, will involve the removal and reconstruction of the Route 130 northbound deck, substructure, superstructure and roadway, including sidewalks, curbs and parapets. Removal and replacement of piers and the fender system will also be done during these stages, as well as the installation of navigational lights, light poles, and bridge fence and railing. There will be drainage work and the construction of temporary pavement on both sides of the bridge for a southbound traffic crossover. These stages are expected to be complete by Summer 2025.

The $54 million federally funded project will replace the Route 130 Bridge over Big Timber Creek in Brooklawn, Camden County and Westville, Gloucester County. The project is expected to be complete by spring 2028.

Variable Message Signs will provide advance notification to motorists of traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
