Hi Nella Volunteer Fire Co. Receives Grant

CAMDEN City, N.J. – OCTOBER 20, 2023 – In honor of First Responders Appreciation Month, New Jersey American Water is proud to name Hi-Nella Fire Company #1, located in Hi-Nella, a recipient of its 2023 Volunteer Fire and EMS Grant Program. Hi-Nella Fire Company #1 is one of 19 volunteer fire and EMS departments located within the company’s service areas chosen to receive grants, totaling over $43,000. This year’s grants will be used in various ways by each department including purchasing gas meters, hoses, emergency lights, and other rescue equipment as well as important training courses and tools.

Kate Brown, Volunteer Firefighter and EMS Grant Program Administrator, and Jimmy Daniels, Volunteer Firefighter and EMS Grant Program Committee member, from New Jersey American Water were proud to present a check for $2,456.60 to Hi-Nella Fire Company #1, represented by Chief Brian Cunningham and other members of the company. Hi-Nella Fire Company #1 was one of 19 volunteer fire and EMS departments located within the company’s service areas chosen to receive grants through New Jersey American Water’s 2023 Volunteer Fire and EMS Grant Program.
