GET IN ON SILLY NAMES FOR SERIOUS BEERS
Philadelphia, PA - For the past twelve years, the brewers at Evil Genius Beer Company have prided themselves on their “Very Silly Names for Very Serious Beers” often citing citing fan-favorite movie quotes, hilarious memes, and timeless song lyrics. Brews like “Stacy’s Mom," “There’s No Crying In Baseball," and even “I Love Lamp” have become staples in beer fridges across the Northeast. Now, the Philadelphia-based brewers are giving the public a chance to get in on the action and create some nostalgia of their own with a competition to name one of their upcoming releases. The winner will have their name suggestion on an Evil Genius beer and win a $500 gift card to the Evil Genius taproom in Fishtown. The beer will then be released as a can release and be available across the Evil Genius ten state distribution network.
This week users can visit any of Evil Genius’ social media accounts to get involved (@evilgeniusbeer on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, and X). Simply navigate to their profile and select their recent post about the contest to submit a name suggestion via the comments. There’s no limit to how many names beer lovers can suggest but if a name is suggested more than once only the first user to suggest the name will get credit for doing so. Comment submissions will remain open through Friday, November 3rd at Midnight.
The beer in question will be a canned release from Evil Genius and will be available across their ten state distribution network. The style is yet to be determined but the beer will be brewed and sent to retailers around June of 2024.
