LINCOLN MILL HAUNTED HOUSE, FREE TRICK-OR-TROLLEY AND TAQUERIA AMOR'S WEDNESDAY ADDAMS-INSPIRED POP-UP BRINGS FRIGHTS AND FUN TO MANAYUNK

Manayunk, PA - Spooky season is taking over Manayunk with three major attractions bringing the frights and fun to Main Street. Lincoln Mill Haunted House (4100 Main Street) returns for its second season as one of the scariest new story-driven haunted houses in Pennsylvania. Two years ago, Hurricane Ida devastated the region and shuttered the famous Mad River in Manayunk. Now, the new haunt is back as Philadelphia's most exciting and spine-chilling attraction! The immersive indoor experience features live scare-actors, top-notch production sets, animatronics and mind-blowing special effects. Before and after the hair-raising adventure, visitors can relish in the haunt's midway with food and drink vendors, photo opps, and the deck overlooking the Schuylkill River, complete with a live scare cam. For the littlest ghosts and ghouls, Lincoln Mill also offers Behind the Scenes Lights on Tour and Scavenger hunts on select Saturdays and Sundays in October. Down Main Street, Taquera Amor (4410 Main Street) has creaked open the gates of NeverAMOR Academy. Fans of the Addams Family and Wednesday on Netflix should definitely stop by as the "fall semester" begins. Themed decor and libations, food specials, a spooky soundtrack and tons of surprises await. Skip the broom this year and let MNYK Trick-or-Trolley bring you to and from Lincoln Mill and Taqueria Amor and all points in between as it connects nine locations and parking lots together for added spooky season fun (and convenience). Halloween in Manayunk also includes Main Street Trick or Treating, Pretzel Park Farmers Market's Costume Parade and a to-die-for fall and Hallween  special coffee concoctions at Valerio Coffee Roasters (4373 Main Street). LINCOLN MILL HAUNTED HOUSE

Two years ago Hurricane Ida devastated the region and shuttered the famous Mad River in Manayunk. Co-Founders Jared Bilsak and Brian Corcodilos teamed up to take back their story and debut a Hurricane Ida themed haunted house. From the flood waters that cost millions of dollars in damage to now a new top Halloween attraction, Lincoln Mill is back with extended hours and weekends, more actors and effects, and a longer even scarier haunt.

From now through November 4th, Lincoln Mill will take guests on a journey through an interactive living story.  The attraction features 50+ live scare-actors, production quality sets, props, animatronics, and breath-taking special effects. The attraction is intended to be VERY scary during evening hours! The attraction’s backstory emerged from a tragic event that occured in 2021…On September 2, 2021, Hurricane Ida struck Philadelphia and flooded the Mill to historic water levels.

The flood significantly damaged the mill’s interior and revealed a hidden chamber located below the basement level. Countless bodies were found and a dark truth was discovered about the mill’s past.  Local authorities determined that during the 1930’s, Viktor Kane, the mill owner, tormented and experimented on his workers. Countless workers lost their lives and their spirits continue to haunt the mill. Construction has since been halted and the mill will open up for guests to experience its dark past for themselves. Explore the Chamber, if you dare.

For season two, over 60% of the attraction has been changed and upgraded since year one.  A few of the new additions include a new elevator scene, a new laboratory area, and an all new cave scene that will reveal something more sinister than Viktor Kane himself.  The attraction is longer, scarier, and will be sure to offer a spine chilling and heart pounding experience for new and returning guests!

Outside, the Midway Area where guests will be entertained before going into the attraction has been given an upgrade.  A new 20’ wide movie projection will introduce guests to the story and several new characters will entertain them before entering the attraction.  In this preshow area, guests will be able to enjoy food and beverages from local breweries and vendors, including New Ridge Brewing Co., Chaddsford Winery and Hardy Funnel Cakes.

For the story-driven haunted house, the legend continues in 2023. Last fall was about the discovery of the hidden chamber after the Hurricane Ida Flood and the discovery of the evil acts committed by the 1930’s mill owner, Viktor Kane.  This year, visitors learn that someone has recently moved into the chamber and is continuing Viktor Kane’s legacy.

The Chapter 2 Legend goes…It’s been two years since Hurricane Ida flooded the Lincoln Mill and exposed the hidden chamber in the basement. Bodies were found and an investigation was led into the mill’s dark past.  After the investigation ended, the chamber had been sealed off. Recently, the chamber had been opened again and evidence suggests that someone who is related to Viktor Kane, the 1930s mill owner, is living down there.  New crimes were discovered and the identity of this person remains a mystery.

Lincoln Mill is open on weekends now through November 4th, with hours Thursdays 7:00pm to 10:00pm, Fridays and Saturdays 6:00pm to 11:00pm, and select Sundays 6:00pm to 10:00pm.
