LOWER TOWNSHIP NJ (October 31, 2023)(CNBNews)--Starting on November 1, 2023 through November 30, 2023, the Lower Township Police Department, along with many other departments nationwide, will be participating in “No-Shave November.” One of the goals of “No-Shave November” is to raise cancer awareness by embracing our hair (which many cancer patients lose), and letting it grow wild and free. Another goal is to use the money you typically would spend on shaving and grooming, to educate about cancer prevention, save lives and aid those fighting the battle. Our officers and staff will be contributing a minimum of $50.00 per month to participate. This year we support Mark Bohn and family. GLASSBORO, NJ (October 31, 2023)(CNBNews)--On Friday, October 27, 2023, at approximately 11:22 P.M., officers from the Glassboro Police Department were dispatched to Oakwood Avenue for the report of (3) individuals who had been stabbed. Upon arrival, they discovered (3) adult males from Brick, New Jersey, suffering knife wounds. Two victims were transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey, while the third was transported to Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill. A joint investigation was initiated by the Glassboro Police Department and the GCPO, rapidly leading to the identification of a suspect. Dina Rogers to lead agency that serves important reentry mission throughout the State of New Jersey The New Jersey State Parole Board has recently announced the appointment of Dina Rogers as the new Executive Director of the agency. New Ramp, Courtesy Dock and Repaved Parking Lot Coming Next Spring The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control announced today that the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife boat ramp facility at Scotton Landing (also known as Barkers Landing) on the St. Jones River, and located off Trap Shooters Road near Magnolia, will be closed for reconstruction starting Monday, Nov. 7, 2023. The Scotton Landing project is anticipated to be completed by April 1, 2024, weather notwithstanding. The project includes a new boat ramp, a new courtesy dock, and a repaved parking lot. Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw and Mount Holly Township Police Chief Richard W. Spitler announced that a Rancocas Valley Regional High School assistant football coach who is also a teacher’s aide faces firearms charges after juveniles accessed an unsecured handgun in his personal vehicle earlier this month during a football game at the school. The employee, Andrew Paden, 40, of Willingboro, then pressured one of the juveniles to provide false information to investigators, saying he was concerned he might lose his job. Camden City, N.J.- An Oaklyn man has been charged in connection to a motor vehicle accident in Camden City last month that killed a child bicyclist and injured another child bicyclist, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez. Troy Kee II, 32, was charged on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, with one count of second-degree Death by Auto and one count of fourth-degree Assault by Auto. SEPTA Transit Police Seek Public's Help to Identify Suspect in Fatal Shooting of Bus Operator PHILADELPHIA PA (October 25, 2023)(CNBNews)--SEPTA Transit Police are asking for the public's help to identify the suspect involved in a fatal shooting of a SEPTA bus operator. MAYS LANDING, NJ – On Monday, October 23, 2023, Khalif Chambers, 20, of Atlantic City, NJ, was sentenced by the Honorable Donna M. Taylor, J.S.C., on charges of unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute it. Under the terms of his plea agreement, Chambers was sentenced to seven years in New Jersey State Prison with 42 months of parole ineligibility under the Graves Act.
