Mildred "Millie" Piscopio, of West Collingswood Hts., age 83, Member of the Belles of St. Mary's

West Collingswood Heights- Millie passed peacefully on August 31, 2023, at the age of 83. Born in Camden, NJ she was the daughter of the late Daniel F. and Mildred M. (Eckerle) Lynch. Cherished mother of Linda J. Piscopio, Joseph P. Piscopio (Lisa); loving grandmother of Daniel, Christian, Nola and Grace. She is also survived by her life-long friends, Ginny Horn and Sandra Andreas as well as many nieces and nephews. Millie was also predeceased by her husband of 57 years Joseph S. Piscopio.
Millie worked for several years as a secretary for the Quarter Master - National Cemetery Supervisor Office in Philadelphia, PA. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester. Millie was also a member of the Belles of St. Mary’s where she played the snare drum and served as drum captain. She was a drum instructor for the Cadets of St. Mary’s and director of the United Regiment. In 1963 she was honored to play with the Belles of St. Mary’s in the inaugural parade for President John F. Kennedy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday morning, September 6th from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at St Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM in the church. Entombment New St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Bellmawr.
