Michael Marchionne, 59, Brooklawn Firefighter, Woodbury EMS, Letter Carrier, LL Coach ,GHS Alum

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Michael A. Marchionne Sr., age 59, on September 9, Screenshot 2023-09-12 at 16.32.04 2023 of Mt. Laurel. Formerly of Brooklawn. Survived by his wife, Stephanie Marchionne (nee Adler); children, Dia Marchionne (Andrew), Dana Marchionne (Tommaso), Michael A. Marchionne, Jr. (Heather) and Jason Streit; grandchildren, Lorenzo, Grafton, and Libero; brothers, Carmine Marchionne, Mark Marchionne (Jane) and Steven Marchionne (Trina); and his beloved dog, Jake.

Mike was a graduate of Gloucester City High School class of 1982. He was a longtime employee with the United States Postal Service, dedicating 38 years of service in Camden, NJ. Mike was a lifetime member of the Brooklawn Fire Company #344 since 1991 and worked many years for Woodbury EMS. 

Mike loved spending time with his family and friends and had many laughs being a practical joker. He volunteered many years as a coach for Brooklawn Little League.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman and spent much of his free time making memories with his best buddies and son, Michael, hunting, fishing, and camping. 

Mike enjoyed attending his son Jason’s soccer games over the years and they enjoyed watching and playing Jeopardy together. Mike was also a big NY Giants fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday morning, September 14, 2023 from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Brooklawn Fire Company #344, 100 S. Wilson Ave., Brooklawn. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 12 PM. Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Michael’s memory are requested to:  Brooklawn Volunteer Fire Company and Hunt of a Lifetime (, a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant hunting & fishing dreams for children age 21 & under, who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses or disabilities.
