Investigation into Smoke Shops in Blackwood and Clementon Results in 3 Arrests

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ (SEPTEMBER 29, 2023)(CNBnews)--On the afternoon of September 19, 2023, the Gloucester Township Police Department with assistance of Winslow Township PD, Clayton Borough PD and Agents from the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Taxation, Office of Criminal Investigation Unit executed a Search Warrant at two “smoke shop” retail locations following a nearly one-month long investigation of illegal sales of Controlled Dangerous Substances. Officers seized large quantities of raw packaged marijuana, marijuana edibles, marijuana vape cartridges, nitrous oxide canisters and thousands of untaxed tobacco products.
The owner of both smoke shop businesses, Mr. Abdo Saeed, was charged with the Leader of Narcotics Trafficking Network, Manufacturing/ Distribution of CDS, Distribution of CDS/Park, Money Laundering, Distribution of CDS Paraphernalia, Sale of Device to Defraud Administration of Law, Sale of a Toxic Chemical (Nitrous Oxide), and Maintaining a Nuisance. The two employees were charged with Sale of Device to Defraud Administration of Law.

Arrest/Employee: Ebrahim Alzabidi, age 43, DOB 5/1/1980, 300 block of Stockton St., Brooklyn, New York
Arrest/Employee: Munzer Azafari, age 29, DOB 6/18/1994, 400 block of Jersey St., Staten Island, New York
