Cumberland County Teacher Charged with Alleged Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials

Haddon Township, N.J.- A 53-year-old Haddon Township man, who is a teacher in Cumberland County, has been arrested and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material offenses, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Haddon Township Police Chief Timothy Hak.
Following a collaborative investigation between the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit, the Haddon Township Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Haddon Township. Following the execution of the search warrant, David Checchio, 53, was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child as it relates to the Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
