MANTUA, NJ (September 26, 2023)(CNBNews)--Bob Jonas, (right) the Director of Gloucester County Veterans Affairs, and Joe Heitman, a veteran from Mantua VFW, attended the Patriots Day Ceremony on September 11, 2023, at Chestnut Branch Park in Mantua Township. Patriots Day is a significant event to commemorate the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of veterans and first responders.

Such ceremonies are essential for communities to unite and pay tribute to those who have served and protected our nation.

Both Jonas and Heitman are former residents of the City of Gloucester City.  Jonas grew up in the 700 block of Powell Street, and Heitman was raised in the 100 block of Sussex Street a block from St. Mary's Grammar School.
