The Lions have beaten Schalick 3 of the last 5 games, including a 21-0 win in 2022. The Lions shared the West Jersey Football League title with Deptford HS last season but return many key players who should make the Lions the pre-season favorite to win the WJFL Championship this season.
Lions offense is led by running back Jake Zearfoss, who will run behind Damere Finlay.
Finlay's biggest contribution is on the Defensive side of the ball where he is considered one of the best in the area. His 100 tackles the last two season makes him game changer on defense.
Zearfoss is a two sport standout, a top state wrestler, gained almost 1,500 yards with 15 TD's last season with 2 games of over 200 yards rushing. Zearfoss is a major contributor on defensive also racking up nearly 70 solo tackles.
6'4" defensive end Kaleb Wright also top ranked wrestler in the state is a constant threat on the opposing quarterback with over 60 tackles in his career.
The Lions return many key players, Seniors 5' 10" Qb Jake Siebert who is looking to eclipse the 1,000 career yards passing this season, Jaden Garris (deciding TD run in Haddonfield), RB Ibyn Obey 100 yards rushing and a major kick returner, Justin Dolson a All Conference Track star at GHS had 13 tackles last season, Caden Elmore gathered 50+ tackles, Maddox Zane and Jason Chiodi all will contribute.
