GREENVILLE, SC (08/23/2023)-- Lauren Murray, a resident of Mickleton, has been named to the Bob Jones University Bruins women's soccer team roster for the 2023-24 academic year. Murray is a Senior majoring in Nursing at BJU.

"We're excited to begin our 2023 season as the players have worked hard this past spring to begin the process of preparing and have been working hard this summer to make a run for a national championship this fall," said Head Coach Chris Carmichael. "We have an incredibly talented team this year and a great balance of programs from NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, NCCAA DI and NCCAA DII. This should sufficiently prepare us for regionals and nationals."

To kick off their fall campaign, the Bruins will travel to Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a pair of games against North Carolina Wesleyan College and Meredith College on September 1 and 2. After starting the season on the road, the Bruins will return to Greenville to take on Covenant College for their home opener on Saturday, September 9.

Throughout the year, the team will face off against two new opponents as they see Asbury University on September 27 and Georgia Southwestern State University on October 21.
