Seven Members of the Rowan Women's Lacrosse Team Honored

NORTHBOROUGH, MA - A total of seven student-athletes from Rowan’s women’s lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. Julianna Corson, Jamie Cutrera, Michaela Donnelly, Hannah Lombardo, Sophia Schiavo, Erin Scioli and Shelby Tanner all earned the distinction.
Additionally, Rowan was named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the 2022-23 academic year, as one of 287 teams that maintained a grade-point average of 3.2 or above.
Rowan’s Academic Honor Roll representatives were among 963 student-athletes from 173 different institutions, as upperclassmen who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater.
Corson (Hainsport, NJ/Rancocas Valley Regional), who received her degree in health and physical education, earns her second selection to the Honor Roll. Named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the team co-captain was the Profs’ second leading scorer this season with 38 goals and 23 assists.
Cutrera (Haddon Twp., NJ/Haddon Twp.) earned her degree in inclusive elementary education and is a two-time member of the Honor Roll. Rowan’s leading scorer this year with 57 goals and 17 assists, she was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, as well as receiving First-Team honors on both the All-NJAC and IWLCA All-Region Team.
Donnelly (Hamilton, NJ/Nottingham), who received her degree in biochemistry, receives the distinction for the first time in her career. She had a career best season offensively, recording a personal best 25 goals and 15 assists in 19 starts this season.
Lombardo (New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt), a junior athletic training major, earns her first selection to the Academic Honor Roll. The midfielder and team co-captain posted 21 goals and four assists this year and recorded 52 draw controls as she made 19 starts for the Profs.
A finance major, Schiavo (Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) earns her first selection to the Honor Roll. The team co-captain was a starter on defense in all 19 games for Rowan.
Scioli (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) received her degree in biology and is another first-time member of the IWLCA Honor Roll. She had 23 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers as she made 16 starts on defense.
Tanner (Perrineville, NJ/Allentown), a first-time selection to the Honor Roll, earned her degree in exercise science. She was sidelined for most of the season with an injury but scored her first career goal on “Senior Day”.
