Joseph V. Moore, Jr. of Blackwood, Member of International Union Painters and Allied Trades

Joseph V. Moore, Jr. of Blackwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 72, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Voorhees, NJ. 

Joe was born on April 1st, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the youngest of 14 children, raised in North Philadelphia. He later moved to the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia where he began his own family. Joe, like several of his older siblings, was a painter by trade and a dedicated Union Painter for International Union Painters and Allied Trades Local # 2011 for many years in Philadelphia. He enjoyed playing the horses and going to Liberty Bell Park and Garden State Racetracks.

Loving son of the late Joseph V. Moore, Sr. and Carolyn Moore (nee Mathis). Father of Joseph V. Moore, III (Christine) and Jacqueline M. Bojarski (Jeffrey). Grandfather of Angelina P. Bojarski, Lily C. Moore and Laetitia M. Moore. Loving brother of May Taylor, April Jervis, David Moore, William Moore and Richard Moore. Predeceased by siblings: Joseph Moore, Robert Moore, Jackie Moore, Edward Moore, Lee Moore, Frankie Moore, June Clower and Garry Moore. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Joseph’s memorial service on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 5 pm at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church: 33 Berlin Road, Clementon, NJ 08021. Cremation private and Inurnment at a later date in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville, PA. Family requests memorial donations to Samaritan Inpatient Hospice c/o Samaritan Gift Processing Center: P.O. Box 71425, Philadelphia, PA 19176 – 1425. Please write in memo: Joseph V. Moore, Jr.
