Beginning at 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday, July 20, until 5 a.m. Friday, July 21 and again, from 9 p.m. Friday, July 21, until 5 a.m. Saturday, July 22, a single lane closure may be required on Route 168 northbound or southbound at the intersection. The lane closures are necessary to rewire the traffic signal.

In addition, beginning at 9 p.m. Monday, July 24, until 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, and continuing Monday through Friday nights at the same times over the next several weeks, a single lane is scheduled to be closed on Route 168 and Station Avenue/5th Avenue for curb and sidewalk repairs. Where it can be done safely, traffic will be shifted on Route 168 to maintain two lanes of traffic in each direction. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and local businesses.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and expect delays while traveling through the work zone or plan an alternate route.

The $4 million federally-funded project will improve the safety and efficiency of several intersections located in various municipalities throughout Atlantic, Cumberland, Camden and Burlington counties. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2023.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website www.511nj.org for construction updates and real-time travel information.
