Scholarships Awarded to Children of Two Jefferson Health Employees in NJ

Children of two Jefferson Health - New Jersey employees have been named recipients of the annual Sanderson Memorial Scholarship. A $2,500 scholarship is awarded each year to two eligible dependent children of regular full- or part-time employees with at least one year of service. The scholarship is in memory of Sarah Sanderson, an original Board Member of then-Kennedy Health. Sanderson generously bestowed funds to promote the continuation of health education among promising young students.
The scholarship recipients are:
- Brianna Blanchard, of Somerdale, NJ, daughter of Theron Blanchard, an electrician at Jefferson Stratford Hospital. Brianna will graduate from Sterling High School in June and will attend Thomas Jefferson University, majoring in biology. Brianna is a National Honor Society (NHS) officer and softball team captain. She has been named valedictorian of Sterling’s 2023 graduating class.
- Ariana Tabamo, of Williamstown, NJ, daughter of Arlene Tabamo, a medical technologist at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital. Ariana, who will graduate from Williamstown High School in June, will attend The College of New Jersey, majoring in nursing. Ariana participates in wind and jazz ensembles and leads the marching band woodwind section. Additionally, Ariana is a member of NHS; Spanish Honor Society; and newspaper, science, and drama clubs.
