CLEVELAND, OH – Rowan University placed 15th in the final 2022-23 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Division III standings, which recognizes the overall excellence of the athletics program, bettering last year's finish of 29th. Through the course of the year, Directors' Cup points are awarded based on a school's finish in up to 18 sports in the NCAA Championships.

 
Rowan, which had an unprecedented year of success in the New Jersey Athletic Conference winning 10 conference championships, had representation in 14 NCAA Championships with either full teams or individuals competing.
 
The Profs accumulated a total of 767.50 points, helped led by a third-place finish from the men's outdoor track & field team, a third-place finish by field hockey and the softball team garnering fifth place by way of its recent berth in the NCAA Division III World Series. Johns Hopkins was the overall LEARFIELD Directors' Cup champion with 1282.00 total points with Tufts finishing second (1126.50 points) and Williams placing third (1112.7 points). MIT (1063.25) and Emory (924.50) rounded out the top five. STANDINGS
 
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.  Directors' Cup points accumulated can vary by sport based on the size of a team bracket or the number of teams that score points at a particular NCAA Championship.
 
There are more than 400 schools competing under the NCAA Division III banner and 323 of those institutions scored points in the Directors' Cup standings in 2022-23.
