Leon Graves, age 89, of Bellmawr

Of Bellmawr, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 22nd, 2023, at the age 89. Born in Gloucester City, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah (Hutchinson) Graves and was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Graves (nee McCaughey). He is survived by his loving children; Kathleen Cornell (Richard), Jeffrey Graves (Lora); cherished granddaughter, Catherine Cornell (Rohit).

When Leon was a young man, he joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was drafted into the US Army where he served in Berlin, Germany using his electrical skills to install communication systems. 

Upon Leon’s return from Berlin, he found employment with the then Bell Atlantic Corporation, where he worked as a corporate communications installer until his retirement.

Honoring his wishes there will be no visitation, and his burial will be held privately at a later date in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ.
