Harrison Township PD Alert: 75-Year-Old Driver Dies in Traffic Accident

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ (JUNE 14, 2023(CNBNews)--On Wednesday, June 14th, at approximately 0835am, The Harrison Township Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of Bridgeton Pike about a motor vehicle crash. The investigation by police revealed the following:
A 2012 Ford Fiesta, operated by an Elk Township resident, was traveling southbound on Bridgeton Pike (State Highway 77) when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle veered into the northbound lane and struck a 2023 Ford F- 150 which a Mullica Hill resident was operating. As a result, Bridgeton Pike was closed for approximately 3 hours between Commissioners and Fislerville Roads.
The operator of the Ford Fiesta, who was identified as 75 year old Georgette Hayes, was transported to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill where she was pronounced deceased. The occupants of the Ford F-150 were also transported to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
