Gian Carlo Viglino, of Kendall Park and Middletown
Friday, June 30, 2023
Kendall Park, NJ – formerly of Middletown, NJ. On June 17, 2023. Age 40. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he is the son of the late Carlos and Theresa (Cardilla) Viglino. He is survived by his loving family: sister, Luisa Viglino; aunt, Lucy Major; uncle, Matt Major; cousin, Alex Major, as well as his future brother-in-law and good friend, Erik Levitsky.
Gian was cared for by the staff of the Dungarvin Group Home in Kendall Park, NJ and will be missed by the staff and his friends there.
Gian was a very social person. He liked going to diners and being able to talk with new friends. Gian was known for his unwavering ability to remember every detail about everyone he met. He had a remarkable memory that he used to bring joy to others by sharing his vast knowledge of Disney and Marvel. Gian was an avid collector of stuffed animals and Power Rangers paraphernalia, and always made sure he had the latest gaming system. He was brilliant and a fierce advocate for himself, never letting his disability hold him back from achieving his goals.
Despite his struggles, he had an exceptional talent for listening and was always aware of what was happening in everyone's lives. He had a heart of gold and was always there to support his loved ones. Gian’s candid and genuine nature made him fun to be around. Gian had a special bond with his sister, whom he loved deeply. He was never afraid to face any challenge, and he often reassured others by saying, "It will be okay; I will call my sister."
Gian passing has left a void in our hearts, but his memory will live on. He will be remembered for his kindness, endearing personality and his love for his family and friends. We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that he is at peace now and reunited with his loved ones who have passed before him.
Relatives, friends and caregivers from Dungarvin are invited to Gian’s viewing on Tuesday, June 27th from 5 to 7 pm and again on Wednesday, June 28th from 10 am to 12 pm, in the McCANN -HEALEY FUNERAL HOME, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Cremation and Inurnment will be held privately.
