Florence E. Wirtz of Mount Holly passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. She was 86.

Daughter to the late William and Caroline Zeisweiss, Florence was born in Mount Ephraim, NJ on December 11, 1936. As a Navy wife, Florence spent most of her adult life traveling across the country to where her husband Robert was stationed. Florence loved to travel, and loved to go on cruises. She was passionate about the outdoors and spent a lot of time gardening as well as painting. At the age of 61, Florence went back to college and received her Associates Degree. After receiving her degree, she worked as a teacher’s assistant helping students with learning disabilities. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Florence is predeceased by her husband of over 60 years Robert H. Wirtz. She is survived by her children Mark (Sheryl), Curtis, and Eric (Sharon), 7 grandchildren, and a great-grandson, as well as numerous siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Florence will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 11am at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives may visit with her family from 10am-11am on Monday prior to the start of her services at the funeral home. Interment will follow the funeral service at BGWCD Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery.
