Empty Bank Building in Woodbury Hts. Destroyed by Fire

WOODBURY HEIGHTS, NJ (June 8, 2023)(CNBNews)-A commercial building in Woodbury Heights, NJ was destroyed by a fire on June 6th, according to  42Freeway.com .The building was previously home to a Nova Bank branch and sits behind the Hollywood Café restaurant on Elm Ave, near the Route 45 intersection. Although the building was planned to be a cannabis dispensary, the Woodbury Heights Zoning Board denied those plans earlier this year in March.

Woodbury Heights FD on a single-story unoccupied building with heavy fire conditions. Companies operated with multiple 2 1/2” hand lines and placed 2 Ladder pipes into operations. Ladder 736 was supplied by Engine 1311 with Engine 911 on the hydrant.
Fire under investigation.
