Catena Zapata Grand Cru Wine Tasting Dinner at Halifax Hoboken
HOBOKEN, NEW JERSEY - June 14, 2023 – Wine enthusiasts searching for the perfect Father’s Day gift can now join the Grand Cru Wine Tasting Dinner June 28th, 2023, at Halifax Hoboken on the waterfront at the W Hotel. The dinner features Argentina’s Adrianna Vineyard,
Catena Zapata wines, #1 Most Admired Argentinian Wine and #2 Wine in the World according to Drinks International. The wine brand is world-renowned for its authentic fruit expression, specially grown at high altitudes. The event will take place on June 28 at 6:45 pm. Event tickets are on sale HERE.
The dinner will begin with cocktails & hors d'oeuvres, followed with a four-course dinner curated by Executive Chef Seadon Shouse highlighting Grand Cru wine from Catena Zapata Vineyard. Founded in 1902, Argentina’s Bodega Catena Zapata is known for its pioneering role in resurrecting Malbec and in discovering extreme high-altitude terroirs in the Andean footh
ills of Mendoza. Over the years, Nicolás Catena Zapata discovered the influence altitude has on fruit quality. As one climbs the altitudes of the Andes the average temperature decreases and the amplitude between day and night temperatures increases. This environment provides the ideal climate for grape maturation. Each of the Catena Zapata family vineyards is divided into parcels according to their soil composition. These parcels are farmed individually, with an eye on encouraging their most authentic fruit expression. The family’s Adrianna Vineyard at almost 5,000 feet elevation has been called the Grand Cru of South America. The dinner menu will include featured pairings chosen by Chef Seadon (see below).
