Roberta Virgina Thompson, 98, GHS Alumnus

Roberta Virginia Thompson (nee Bozarth) died on 05/17/2023 at the age of 98. She is predeceased by her parents, beloved husband Edward, and precious son William.

She is survived by her children, son Paul and daughter Anne Wurst and their fine families of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roberta graduated with honors from Gloucester City High School and Glassboro State College. She taught for several years before retiring from Blackwood Elementary School in 1989. After retirement she volunteered with a Reading project and Contact USA. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Pitman, serving in many capacities.

Services to be held at the First Baptist Church of Pitman, 30 N. Broadway Pitman, NJ 08071 on Wednesday, May 24th at 6 PM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the First Baptist Church in Pitman or to Urban Promise in Camden.
