Robert E. Phillips, Sr., 90, of Audubon

On April 25, 2023, of Audubon, NJ.  Age 90 years.

Beloved husband of 66 years to Dolores F. Phillips.  Dear father of Robert (Carolyn) Phillips, Jr., Raymond (Judith) Phillips, Steven Phillips and William (Bethanne) Phillips.  Loving grandfather of Rebecca, Eric, Kelly, Kimberly, Laura, Jim, Samantha and Alex and great grandfather of Eric Jr., Aubrey, Ava, Faith, Cadence, Revelry, Gunner, J.T., Claire, Raymond, Nathan and Nora.  He is also lovingly survived by his sister, Eleanor (Harry) Kitchin and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was a 1951 graduate of Collingswood High School.  He was a Korean Conflict U.S. Army veteran and a 62-year member and past commander of Murray-Trout Post #262 American Legion, Audubon, NJ.  He was also a 3-time Camden County American Legion Commander and American Legion Department of New Jersey Commander (2009-2010).  Robert was a lifetime active member of Ironworker's Local #350, an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and was a vital member of the Audubon community.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of the  FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 250 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ.  Services were held at Church of the Ascension, 110 Sussex St., Gloucester City, NJ 08030.  Interment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Church of the Ascension at the address above.
