Philadelphia Crime Report: 63-Year-Old Woman Murdered Saturday ; Six Shootings Friday Night

Philadelphia, PA (May 27, 2023)(CNBNews)—The ongoing murders, stabbings, and shootings continue in Philadelphia, once known as the City of Brotherly Love. The most recent occurred Saturday evening, May 27, at 9:04, with three people shot in the 5200 unit block of Jefferson Street.

According to Officer Tanya Little, Philadelphia Police Department Office of Public Affairs, a 20-year-old male was shot two times in the foot and was taken to Lankenau Hospital. He was listed in stable condition. The second victim, a 15-year-old, was shot in the abdomen and taken to Lankenau Hospital. Records show he was in stable condition. The third victim, a black male, 33 years old, was shot twice in the chest and the right shoulder. He, too, was taken to Lankenau Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Also, on Saturday around 4:30 PM, a 63-year-old female living in the 3300-unit block of Kayford Circle was in her living room when she was shot once in the abdomen and the chest. A Medic pronounced her dead at the scene at 4:40 PM. One gun was located at the location. One female is in custody. The motive is unknown.

Philadelphia Police report six shootings in the City on Friday, May 25, starting at 11:30 PM at the intersection of North 20th Street and Diamond Street. The victim in this incident is a 22-year-old male shot in the right thigh. He was transported to Temple Hospital and was placed in stable condition. 

 

They include the following incidents:

 

DOUBLE SHOOTING 6XX-UNIT BLOCK OF WEST CAMBRIA STREET--2:53 AM There was a double shooting in the 600-unit block of West Cambria Street. The first victim was 26 years old. He was shot multiple times throughout his body. He was transported to Temple Hospital and was pronounced dead at 3:19 AM. The second victim, a 22-year-old male, was transported by private vehicle to Temple Hospital. He was shot twice and is listed in critical but stable condition.

 

Stabbing - 70th and Buist Avenue -A 29-year-old was stabbed at the 70th and Built Avenue intersection at 3:03 AM, May 27. The male was stabbed once in the right shoulder. He was transported to Presbyterian Hospital and was listed in stable condition.

 

Shooting - 20th and Diamond Street- At 11:30 PM, a 22-year-old male was shot once in the right thigh. The victim was transported to Temple Hospital and was listed in stable condition.

 

 

Double Shooting /Homicide - 6XX West Cambria Street--At 2:53 AM, a 26-year-old male was shot multiple times throughout his body. The victim was transported to Temple Hospital and pronounced dead at 3:19 AM. Also shot was a 22-year-old male. He was shot twice and was also transported to Temple Hospital. Presently he is listed in critical but stable condition.

 

Double Shooting/Homicide - 1XX East Allegheny Avenue- There was a double shooting at the 100-unit block of Allegheny Ave. The incident occurred at 6:18 AM. A 44-year-old female was shot once in the

The right side of the back and once in the leg. She was transported to Temple Hospital and was pronounced dead at 6:34 AM. The second victim, also a female, is 21 years old. She was shot twice in the left thigh. She was transported to Temple Hospital and placed in cortical condition.

 

Fatal Crash - Unit block of North 63rd Street— Police are investigating a deadly crash in the unit block of 63rd Street at 6:57 AM Saturday. According to the police docket, a (John Doe), approximately 40 to 50 years old, was riding his bike when a green Dodge Charger struck him. The male was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he died at 7:27 AM.

 

Shooting - 9XX West Butler Street…A 50-year-old male was shot in the stomach and once in the left leg at 9:32 AM Saturday in the 900-unit block of West Butler Street. He was transported to Temple Hospital and was listed in critical condition.
