Philadelphia, PA - Old City District showcases its thriving dining scene with the return of Old City Eats, kicking off with the Old City Eats Block Party on Thursday, June 1st and running every Thursday
DINING OUT
through August 31, 2023. Every week this summer look for discounted small plates, cocktails and cold beers at over 20 restaurants, bars and eateries between 5:00pm to 7:00pm. For the kick-off block party, look for outdoor food, drink, entertainment, vendors and more on 2nd Street (between Market and Chestnut) for one night only between 5:00pm and 9:00pm. Celebrate summer in the city with the best eats and sips in the region, at top spots like Amada, Amina, Cuba Libre, Khyber Pass Pub, Nick's Bar and Grill, Positano Coast, The Olde Bar, Royal Boucherie and many others. New this year, Old City performing arts venues will offer discounts on tickets on select Thursday evenings through the summer including Arden Theatre Company, Christ Church Neighborhood House, and Philadelphia Film Society. Old City Eats is designed to highlight the best of Old City’s culinary scene all summer long. Old City Eats features food, cocktails and an atmosphere that will appeal to every taste including constant trendsetters like Amada and The Olde Bar, the ever-popular Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar and Stratus Lounge, neighborhood mainstays like Khyber Pass Pub and Sassafras Bar, and outdoor dining and vibe destinations like Positano Coast by Aldo Lamberti and Fringe Bar. The list of participating restaurants and bars reads like a who's who of neighborhood gems and staples, mixed with new hot spots and up-and-comers.

OLD CITY EATS - BLOCK PARTY
Old City Eats Block Party on Thursday, June 1st will feature nearly a dozen Old City Eats participants serving savory and sweet bites - and seasonal sips - under the blue skies. Stroll 2nd Street and enjoy live music as Old City showcases the wide variety of styles and flavors while highlighting some of the neighborhood’s best food and drinks! Enjoy live jazz at Sassafras Bar, and DJ B3bo and salsa dancers at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar! Salsa dancing performances will take place at 6:30pm and 7:30pm, followed by group lessons for guests!
