Funeral Services for Deptford Police Officer Bobby Schisler to be Held at Rowan University

(DEPTFORD Township, NJ)(May 12, 2023)(CNBNews)-- Funeral services for Deptford Policer Officer Robert J. Shisler, who passed away May 7, 2023, will be held May 17 at Rowan University, Glassboro.
Beloved son of Robert H. Shisler of Deptford and Tracy (nee Hawkins) of Deptford. Loving brother of Ashley Shisler of Mantua and Tyler Shisler of Deptford. Cherished grandson of Marion Shisler of Depford, Robert A. Shisler of Deptford, Ethel Hawkins of Barrington, and the late Gary Hawkins. He is survived by his godparents, Danny Resnik and Brenda Simpkins, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bobby worked as a Police Officer for the Deptford Township Police Department. He graduated from Deptford High School Class of 2014, where he played baseball and football. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. Bobby had a passion for weightlifting and won an NPC bodybuilding competition. He played Division 1 baseball at Presbyterian College in South Carolina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a pass and reflection on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 9 am to 12 noon at Pfleeger Concert Hall at Rowan University, 201 Mullica Hill Rd, Glassboro, NJ 08028.
Interment Private.
The funeral will be held on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Pfleeger Concert Hall on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro. Shisler's death is the first line of duty death for the department. Officer Shisler was shot in the line of duty on March 10, 2023.
The body of fallen Deptford Township Police Department Officer Robert "Bobby" Shisler was escorted back to New Jersey on Tuesday by multiple police departments collaborating to transport the officer from the medical examiner's office in Philadelphia to the Boucher Funeral Home in Deptford Township, NJ. Below, some of those officers were seen pedaling through towns in South Jersey.
