Route 130 overnight lane closures this week
for bridge repairs in Camden County
Daytime closures on bridges over Route 130 in Mercer County
(Trenton) – Varying lanes on Route 130 are scheduled to be closed overnight this week on the Route 130 Bridge over the South Branch of Newton Creek in Gloucester City and Haddon, Camden County and on the Route 130 Bridge over Little Timber Creek in Brooklawn and Gloucester City, Camden County. In addition, daytime lane closures are scheduled this week on various bridges over Route 130 in Hamilton, Mercer County.
Monday Night, May 22 and Tuesday Night, May 23
Beginning at 8 p.m. tonight, Monday, May 22, until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, May 23, two right lanes on Route 130 northbound will be closed on the Bridge over the South Branch of Newton Creek. In addition, from 8 p.m. tomorrow night, Tuesday May 23, until 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, the left lane will be closed on Route 130 in both directions on the bridge. The closures are necessary to make bridge joint and concrete repairs. At least one lane will be maintained on Route 130 in both directions during construction.
Wednesday Night, May 24 and Thursday Night, May 25
Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, until 6 a.m. Thursday, May 25, two right lanes on Route 130 northbound will be closed on the Bridge over Little Timber Creek. In addition, from 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, until 6 a.m. Friday, May 26, two left lanes will be closed on Route 130 northbound on the bridge. The closures are necessary to make bridge joint and concrete repairs. At least one lane will be maintained on Route 130 northbound during construction.
Monday, May 22 through Thursday, May 25
In addition, from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. today, Monday, May 22, and continuing daily through Thursday, May 25, at the same times, several bridges over Route 130 will have a single lane closed with alternating traffic. The closures are necessary to make bridge joint and concrete repairs. The following is the schedule and bridges that will be affected:
- Monday, May 22 and Tuesday, May 23: Yardville/Allentown Road (CR 524)
- Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25: South Broad Street (CR 672)
This work is part of the $8.9 million federally funded bridge preventative maintenance contract that will make joint and concrete repairs to approximately 41 bridges on Routes 40, 47, and 130 in various locations across Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Mercer and Salem counties.
