BROOKLAWN, NJ (April 4, 2023)(CNBNews)--On Sunday, April 2 the all-new competitive basketball Shot Club hosted a Fundraiser in the Brooklawn Gym in memory of Tommy MacAdams. All proceeds benefit the Brooklawn School. MacAdams who lost a battle to ALS 9  years ago was a former councilman and a lifelong resident who continued until his passing working to make Brooklawn the best possible community for its citizens. MacAdams was responsible for the slogan "God's Little Acre".  MacAdams was one of the pioneers in elevating the Brooklawn Bees Travel Basketball Team when the Bees won the NYAA National Championship as 12-year-olds.

The Shot Club was recently launched on the national scene by Brooklawn resident Omar Wellington.

Sunday's featured match-up was when GHS Lions Liam Gorman and Aydan Hagan (both 1000-point scorers) along with sharp shooting Sophomore Ryan James battled a team led by Colin MacAdams.  Early on this mismatch played out as expected with the gunner slingers from GHS opening a big lead.

Colin MacAdams a member of the 12 y/o National Champions realized this was more than just fun and games and led his team to major comeback and a comfortable lead late in the match. Holding a 12-point lead with 90 seconds remaining the Lions surged to tie the game with under 10 seconds left.

A three-point Ryan James shot from the right corner rimmed out before MacAdams banged home a 3-point winning shot from the left corner with one-second remaining.
