A 150-year-old, and the only narrow-gauge railway East of the Mississippi, is an American treasure. This is one of the true treasures of American railroading. And while you can simply enjoy a scenic train ride, it is far more of an experience…allowing visitors to immerse themselves in a National Historic Landmark that is almost completely frozen in time. The railroad is considered by the Smithsonian to be one of the best-preserved examples of 19th-century American narrow gauge railroads (the rails are less than 4 feet apart, so the trains, and everything is smaller than "standard" railroads) and industrial complexes in the country. The East Broad Top Railroad (EBT) located in Orbisonia, PA is nestled in the rolling hills and farmlands in the central part of the state. (CAMDEN CITY, NJ)(April 21, 2023)(CNBNews) – In a new study published recently in Nutrients, a peer-reviewed journal of human nutrition, Cooper University Health Care researchers found that Vitamin D supplementation can reduce the incidence of influenza-like illness in at-risk populations. The study, funded by the Won Sook Chung Foundation, was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic to help prevent viral infections in healthcare workers. Because of repeated exposure to sick patients, healthcare workers are more likely to acquire respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. In addition to possibly spreading illness to patients, widespread illness among healthcare workers leads to critical staffing shortages during the pandemic. Personal protective gear (masks, gloves, gowns) and practicing good hand hygiene offer some protection against the spread of respiratory illnesses. However, researchers wanted to assess the hypothesis that vitamin D3 supplementation at 5,000 IU daily could reduce influenza-like illness, including COVID-19, in health care workers, according to Noud...

The chaos in the crypto market is back, and the price of Bitcoin (BTC) has dropped nearly 11% this week. The most recent disruption's cause: the approaching liquidation of crypto-accommodating bank Silvergate. On Wednesday, the United States government transferred $1 billion worth of seized Bitcoin to Coinbase-controlled wallets. Furthermore, a claim documented Thursday evening against crypto trade KuCoin by New York State Principal legal officer Letitia James caused the world's second-biggest digital money by market capitalization, Ethereum (ETH), to drop over 8% too.
