GCHS Boys Basketball Ends Season with 16-11 Record;Flight Tourney Champs

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ--(April 11, 2023)(CNBNews)--Gloucester Catholic Boys Basketball had a winning season this year going 16-11. The Rams won the Tri-County B Flight tournament and went on to win the 1st Round Game in the State Tournament on a buzzer-beater by Trey Battle against Princeton Day 47-45 before falling in the quarterfinal round to Ranney.
 
The team roster included: 
 
Seniors - Alex McMahon, Shane McCormick, RJ Mustaro
Juniors - Nick Calzonetti, JonCarlo Coia, Trey Battle, Billy Ginipro, Kyle Guldin, Darian Handy
Sophomores - Ehthan Dugue, Brody Gates, Gavin Friel, Carlos Mendez, Jack Mustaro
Freshman - Zack Payne
 
RJ and Jack Mustaro (brothers) made 1st Team All Tri-County Conference, and RJ was a South Jersey Times All-Area 2nd Team member.
 
RJ scored his 1000th point this season and finished his career with 1134 points. He also scored 45 points in a game against Clayton (when he got his 1000th point) which set the school record for points in a game.
