In 1947, Bill began his distinguished 45-year-long career at Strawbridge & Clothier (S&C) in the General Accounting dept. and retired as Vice President in 1992.  Along the path, he was responsible for installing the company’s first computer, creating a Systems Dept., Programming Dept & Operations Group and was instrumental in the development of S&C’s discount “Clover” division – opening 25 stores in 22 years.

Their shared love of dancing brought Kay & Bill together.  It was a joy for all of us to watch throughout their marriage.  Kay & Bill traveled extensively for business and pleasure in this country (all 50 states!!!) and Europe and on many cruises.  The Poconos, San Francesco, Bermuda and the Tetons were favorite destinations.

Bill’s greatest joy was his family, especially the grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, attending as many of their events as possible.

Bill’s family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9th, 10-10:45 AM, at the Audubon United Methodist Church, 314 Graisbury Ave., Audubon, NJ 08106; where his Service will follow at 11 AM.  Interment, private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Bill may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
