Alberta 'Bobbie' Hughes, 81, of Cherry Hill/Mt. Ephraim

Alberta (Bobbie) Hughes went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 11, at the age of 81. She was born in Camden NJ, to Albert and Sophie Hipp. She was preceded in death by her husband Mike Hughes Sr., son Michael Hughes Jr., and daughter Phyllis Davis. Screenshot 2023-01-21 at 16.31.11

Bobbie is survived by daughter-in-law Candy Hughes, son-in-law Mark Davis, granddaughter Taylor Hughes, grandson Michael Hughes III, wife Zoee Hughes and two great-grandchildren; River and Emma.

Bobbie was a graduate at St. Joseph Camden Catholic High School. She grew up in Camden New Jersey, married Thomas Hines and moved to Woodlynne, for a few years. She worked at numerous jobs such as for RCA, and her last was as a medical secretary for Doctor Zimmerman, in Philadelphia. She remarried at a later time to Mike Hughes Sr. and enjoyed many years with him in Fairview until his death.

Bobbie joined Calvary Church in Pennsauken, and enjoyed singing in the choir, participating in charity work, homeless shelters, and was the most compassionate, caring person. Always available to help when needed.

Bobbie was recently living at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Cherry Hill, and prior to that lived at Mt. Ephraim Senior Apartments for many years.

Funeral services under the direction of the Blake Doyle Funeral Home, 126 Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ. Interment Locustwood Cemetery, Route 70, Cherry Hill.
