Trish Powell(née Cullen) 78, of Haddon Heights ; GCHS Alum, Bells of St. Marys Member

Mary Patricia “Trish” Powell (nee Cullen), 78, of Haddon Heights, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 25, 2022. Trish is predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Robert Powell, her “Paley”. Loving mother to Becky (Mike) Ford, Andrew (Lauren) Powell and her predeceased baby son, Kevin Cullen Powell. Devoted sister to Jody Cullen and her predeceased sister, Margie (David) Haggerty. Loving sister-in-law to Carol (Peaches) Larro. The most cherished Mimi and grandmom to Julia, Lyla, Michael, Emily and Kate. Adored Aunt Trish to Caryn, Michael, Megan, Christy, David, Amy and Mark. D5A142A8-5F26-44A2-811C-748CED43A7B0

Trish was a 1963 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She was a proud member of the Belles of St. Mary’s in Gloucester City. Trish graduated from Rowan College. She worked at Subaru of America and retired from ExxonMobil in 2010 with many lifelong friendships. With her strong faith and love for helping others, she ran St. Rose of Lima’s bereavement group for close to 20 years. Her most treasured accomplishment was being a mom.  

To know Trish was to love her. She had a special gift in making everyone in a room feel loved.  Trish was known for her infectious laugh, positive attitude and fun loving spirit. You could always find her cheering on her grandkids, whom she adored, and they her.  She enjoyed spending time with the “Walking Girls” and her dear Jody, Shirley and Carol G.  Trish loved spending summers at Long Beach Island, her happy place, with her family. She was known for the best blueberry muffins in town, her “Fish” tea and her Christmas Eve open houses where she served her famous meatballs.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Twp., NJ 08033 on Friday, December 30, 6 to 8 pm and Saturday, December 31, 9:30 to 11:00 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am.  Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, 515 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ.
