Frank Tiefenthaler is a devoted father and husband. His passion was devoting his time to his family.

After being honorably discharged from the Air Force during the Vietnam War, he met the love of his life, Catherine Joiner, whom he married after two years of dating and just recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.  Frank took a job at PhILCO Ford in Pennsylvania, first dealing with old black/white TVs and refrigerators. After the plant switched to car electronics,

Frank went to college at night, graduating with honors from LaSalle University.  While working and going to school, he started a family with his wife Catherine. Within three years, Joseph, Donna, and David were born.

After work, Frank would coach not only his children in soccer and baseball but was active in the Collingswood Rec Soccer League.  He helped to create and manage, at that time, the youngest division in the recreational soccer league.

Summer vacations were spent down the shore in North Cape May with two trips to Disney World mixed in.

As his children started to create their own families and have children, Frank relished in being a grandfather.  Summers in Ocean City and a large family trip to Disney World highlight his time with his grandchildren.

As Frank was coming up to retirement, he found a hobby he was passionate about, golf. He found and made friends with people he golfed with. He also spent time bowling with Catherine and  playing softball in the summer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, December 19, 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, St. John Church, 809 Park Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Interment with U.S. Air Force military honors at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) and/or St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
