Carol Sue Mahan, of Gloucester City; Past Member of Historical Society, VFW Ladies Aux., GHS Alumni

Carol Sue Mahan on November 25, of Gloucester City.  Daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn (Hudson) Mahan.  Graduate of Gloucester City High School, former member of the Gloucester City Historical Society, Ladies Auxiliary of the Townsend C Young VFW Post #3620, and an active volunteer in many Gloucester City Screenshot 2022-12-03 at 11.33.40 organizations.  She was an avid gardener and loved nature and Proprietor’s Park, as well as going down the shore.  She enjoyed baking and would offer her delicious treats for fundraising bake sales and various community gatherings.  She always considered herself “a Gloucester Girl” although she moved away for a while. 

 

She is survived by her children Kathryn, Kristine, Harry Mahlon, and Gregory, grandchildren Carol Sue, Tighe, Rowdie and Jack, and her dear George Hubbs. She is also survived by Liberi, Mahan and Finnegan nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gloucester City Historical Society.  

 

A memorial gathering will be held at Thomas Murphy’s Pub on Burlington Street in Gloucester City on December 10, 2022 from 1-3pm.  All are welcome.
